Loan Operations Specialist

Southern Bank of Tennessee is seeking a loan operations specialist. Position will be responsible for various needs in the loan department.


    • Duties will include but not be limited to support tasks such as preparing paid out loans and releases of collateral
    • Balancing applicable loan GL’s, escrow payments and analysis.
    • Remove old ticklers from paid out loans on system.

  • Qualifications: 
    • Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
    • Experience in loan operations or processing is preferred, but not mandatory.

Loan Processor- Mt. Juliet

    • Assist Loan officers with managing their commercial loan portfolio and coordinating loan processing
    • Collecting customer information and needed paperwork to complete a loan package including applications, credit reports, financial statements, insurance docs, title work, and other relevant documentation.
    • Coordinate closings paperwork and tasks as needed with third-party vendors and the borrowers
    • Provide customer service to borrowers throughout the entire loan process
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
    • Preferred at least 2 years of processing experience
    • Working Knowledge of real estate documentation if possible

Mortgage Loan Officer - Mt. Juliet

Our full service residential mortgage department is currently seeking experienced mortgage loan officers to add to our growing team. Residential Mortgage Loan Originator provides residential mortgage loans to borrowers looking to purchase real estate or refinance an existing mortgage. The MLO is responsible for lead generation as well as working with Bank Officers in managing referrals to the ML and originating quality conventional, FHA, VA and D loans based on secondary market guidelines through existing referral partners as well as generating and developing new prospects through realtors,
builders, attorneys, CPAs and other sources.

Job Type: Full-time

    • Minimum of 2 years residential mortgage origination experience required.
    • Knowledge of secondary market guidelines, laws and regulations related to mortgage lending.
    • Must have the ability to develop business in targeted areas and maintain current referral relationships while expanding new opportunities
    • Loan origination: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
